Southern Paiute peoples made baskets, not often pots, so we have few examples of their material culture. See Everett Pikyavit discuss the traditional and spiritual aspects of basket weaving among the Great Basin Moapa and Goshute bands. His basketry displays 9000 years of skill and knowledge handed down over the centuries.
